My Approach

I’m a passionate UX designer with a natural curiosity for studying a person’s behavior and understanding why they do what they do.

My sense of curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and drive to make experiences better through a user-centered methodology, help create one of a kind digital experiences.

My approach in UX begins by creating consensus with the stakeholders I am involved in the project. I would lead a workshop with the goal of creating alignment on what their measure of success is. Once the team aligns on the “north star” vision, I can begin the research process.

I am accustomed to working closely with product managers, brand managers, art directors, project managers, front-end developers, and technical architects.

Because I’m process-oriented, I like to create a roadmap of UX type of activities that both the stakeholders and I can agree that would be feasible based on the timeline and effort. Once we have this, I am off to the races to run an audit of available studies, designs, call logs, heatmaps, that can serve as a benchmark for the project.

Within the first few weeks, I like to create a qualitative usability testing using scores to provide deltas in improvements and areas we are solving along the way.  Insights from the usability testing sessions, research studies, and competition, are shared every couple of weeks in a playback session to the brand.

These playback sessions build trust and also provide oversight into all the activities that are had within sprints, to not work in a vacuum while creating confidence on timeline deliverables.   I like to follow a design thinking user-centered approach, which I outline below.

Empathize

Conduct research to develop an understanding of the users.

Define

Combine all of the research and observe where the problems exist.

Ideate

generate a range of crazy, creative ideas.

Prototype

Build real, tactile representations for a range of ideas.

Test

Return to the users for feedback

Implement

Put the vision into effect
